Awe & KFC factor of Films

The “Awe” factor of recent Telugu movies is not of any experimental for rest of India. We were blown away by new wave of Telugu cinema has seen in the recent past. Few notables are

·         Pelli Choopulu

·         Kshanam

·         Manamantha

·         Arjun Reddy 

·        

But all this ends up in 2 Telugu states only, as Tamil is always home for path breaking movies. Even Malayalam filmy backwaters known for experimenting within their range of budget. One strange thing I have come across is, almost all the Malayalam movies carry at least 5 minutes long “Thanking screen time” before title cards roll out, I don’t get it J 

Kannada is gifted by talented technicians, to name a few Rakshit Shetty of Kirrak Party, Pawan Kumar of UTurn and Anup Bhandari of Rangthiranga.  The first one is released today on Telugu screen to a lackluster response for missing the soul; the second one is being made by Akkineni Samantha, hope they dont' fiddle it too much the Telugu way . No known attempts of Rangthiranga remake for now, Thank GOD. 

Rolling back to the topic of “Awe”, It’s for a good even star heroes took pause to revive image aka stardom. Small and different movies are now the new mantra for Telugu film makers alongside the safe bet stream of Horror/Comedy & revenge genre of movies. If, Telugu Horror movies catered the horror comedy before the fade out phase, Bollywood still serving KFC School of cinema in the revenge genre with unlimited supply of thighs and breasts to audience; latest dud is Hate Story with Roman IV.

Let’s hope for more genuine Jaw dropping screen moments than some fried (revenge) chickens on screen dropping just……......Happy friday guys JJJ
